When a motor is run on an ASD, its windings need to be able to withstand sharp voltage spikes coming from the ASD. These spikes can cause winding damage to under-protected motors. The EQP Global series motors have capability to withstand 2000 V in 0.1 μs spikes, protecting them against harm from ASDs causing other motors to fail.
