2021121 · At Red Rock State Park, there is a 5-mile trail network that is family-oriented and clearly marked. After consulting with a park ranger, we decided to take the outer loop, which are the Bunkhouse, Kisva, Eagle’s Nest, Coyote Ridge, and Apache Fire Loop trails. It was four miles exactly with 358’ of elevation gain.

Trails throughout the park will take you through twisty forests, back out to the rocks, and back again. The whole network is just five miles altogether, according to Arizona State Parks. Eagle’s Nest Trail will lead you to the highest spot in the park. The other major trails include Apache Fire Loop and Coyote Ridge Trail.

2024314 · Trails of Red Rock State Park The main activity is hiking. Nine trails form a network of routes, mostly on the south side of Oak Creek. All are well marked, with signs and trail maps at each junction. Three cross the stream and its wide flood plain - heavy rains occasionally cause great floods down the valley, such as in 2005.
